Description:
Japanese culture has always been mysterious, and samurais are one of the main parts of it – their traditions, appearance, clothes, weapons – they inspire people all over the world. When I learned more about katana swords, I was swayed by the variety of guards (tsuba). I knew long ago that storks in Japanese culture represent prosperity and longevity; they are also the symbols of grace and wisdom. I decided to convey these symbols in my work – the focus of attention is on golden tsuba, silk with storks gently wraps katana around.
